Nowadays, the citizens have a lot of things to do during the holidays. Among them, the most common activities is shopping. People will buy a lot of tings, such as postcards, presents, new clothes, etc. People think that festivals are a time for them to go shopping. Also, they will go to other countries during festivals. They will buy souvenirs pay money for food. Festival become a time for citizens to go shopping.

Nowadays, the mass media plays an important role in our daily lives, especially during festival seasons. Hong Kong residents like shopping and entertaining during different Chinese or Western festivals. When they decide where to go or where to play, they will get information from the mass media. We can know more about things that are deserved to buy or events that we shouldn't miss from the mass media. It can help us to enjoy ourselves during these festivals. Therefore the phenomenon that the atomosphere of celebrating festivals is filled in different cities all over the world is the mass media's praiseworthy achievement. But on the other hand, some mass media will make reports which are untrue or exaggerated. So we should determine whether the reports are true instead of blindly believing in the mass media.

首先, 我認為商界把節日商品化的目的, 一定離不開錢, 他們利用了節日的氣氛, 以謀取更高的利潤。例如, 在香港裡的一間酒店, 人們把它布置得充滿節日氣氛, 雖有人反對, 亦有人支持, 但是我比較偏向支持, 因為這能夠進一步推動社會經濟, 讓香港繁榮。


另外, 商界對節日傳統文化的保全有一定的幫助,由於節日到來時, 滿街都充滿節日氣氛, 多少能提高市民對節日的印象, 理解。

The government used many ways to publicize either Chinese or Western festivals.For example,it uses internet ,magazine and some videos to advertise them.
These kinds of actions not only help the government make a great profit,but also HK becomes more famous,more and more tourists come.
It sounds great,isn't it?But many people would use festivals to be an excuses for using money and some of them may forget th real meaning of festivals.
Therefore,these plans aren't perfect.If the government wants to make a better plan,it relies on the coporations between the citizens and the government.

I would like to celebrate Halloween with my children if I have. It is because Halloween is a relaxing festival. My children can enjoy themselves. Also, this can improve our relation. I would also tell the history of Halloween to my children in order to avoid them being afraid of the ghosts. It will last them a good memory.

I would like to celebrate Halloween if I have a kid. It's because of the affect of globalization. Different kind of festivals have 'invaded' over the world. I should let my kid know that the background and the real meaning of each festivals. Therefore, I would celebrate with my kid. Moreover, if I am a father, I should have to give the best childhood to my kid.
